The weekend, collected and filtered
Everyone has photos. Nobody wants to hand over their whole camera roll to find them. A code the group can scan collects the good ones, and you decide what actually makes it into the album you hand over.
Why it works for a hen or stag
You get the photos without the camera roll. People add the shots they are happy to share, and nothing else. No scrolling through someone's week to find the three you wanted.
Automatic screening does the awkward part. On a paid plan you can switch on automatic screening: anything that looks explicit is held back and shown to you first, marked so you know why. Nothing is deleted - you just see it before anyone else does.
One album to hand over. At the end you download the lot in full quality. That is the thing you actually give the bride or groom, rather than a link to a chat nobody can open.
A setup that works for a weekend away
- 1
Use 2 photo spots - one for the whole weekend and one for the big night, so the tame photos and the late ones stay separable.
- 2
Switch on automatic screening when you create the event. It is a per-event setting, so it applies to this weekend and nothing else.
- 3
Share the link in the group chat rather than printing anything. For a weekend away, a pinned message beats a QR card that is back at the hotel.
A welcome message that works
Put your photos here so we can make an album afterwards. What goes in gets checked first, so do not worry too much.
How the weekend actually goes
Photos trickle in over the first day and arrive in bursts after that. Anything flagged waits quietly for you rather than appearing on a screen in front of everyone. On the way home you can go through the album, take out what should not survive, and download the rest - you have 90 days, which is long enough to do it when you are not exhausted.
Hen and stag questions
How good is the automatic screening?
It catches the obvious cases and shows them to you rather than deciding for you. Treat it as a first pass that means you are the one who sees a bad photo first, not a guarantee that you can stop looking.
Can I delete something permanently?
Yes. Removing a photo takes it out of the gallery immediately, and after the download window everything is deleted from our servers regardless - 90 days after uploads close on the Plus plan.
Can the bride or groom see it as it happens?
Only if you want them to. The gallery stays private until you publish it, so you can keep it closed all weekend and open it when you hand the album over.
Set up the weekend
Turn on screening, share one link, and sort the album out on the way home.
