What the words mean
We try to use plain words for everything, and to use the same word every time. Here's the full list, so nothing has to be guessed from context.
- Photo link
- The web address your guests open to add photos. Every event has one, and it also exists as a QR code you can print. Sharing it is all a guest needs — there's nothing else to send them.
- Photo spot
- A place you want photos from, with its own QR code — the entrance, table four, the photo booth. Using several lets you see where photos came from. Every event has one to begin with; paid plans allow more.
- Review
- Deciding which photos appear. You can review as photos arrive and remove anything you don't want, or switch to review-before-showing so nothing appears until you approve it. Helpers you invite can review too.
- Gallery
- The page where approved photos appear, live, as they're added. It stays private until you publish it, and it has a full-screen slideshow for a projector or a screen at the venue.
- Download window
- How long you have to download everything after uploads close. Its length is fixed by your plan: 14 days on the free plan, 90 on Plus and 365 on Pro. When it ends, the photos are permanently deleted.
- Plan
- The set of limits an event runs under — how many photos, how many photo spots, how long the event can run, and how long the download window lasts. You pick one when you create an event, and it applies to that event only.
- Event pass
- What you buy to run one event on a paid plan. One pass, one event. Passes don't expire before you use them, and buying one doesn't start anything — you spend it when you create the event.
- Helper
- Someone you invite to review photos alongside you. They can approve and remove photos, but only you — the organiser — can change the event's settings or delete it.
- Automatic screening
- An optional check on paid plans that holds photos which look explicit back from the gallery and puts them in front of you first, marked so you know why. It never deletes anything, and you turn it on per event.
Try it on a small event
The free plan runs the whole flow end to end, so you can see all of this for yourself.
