From setting up to downloading
The whole thing, in the order you'll meet it. Nothing here needs a manual, but it helps to know what happens when — particularly the download window, which is the part people most often misunderstand.
1. You set up the event
You give the event a name and dates, and pick a plan. That's the whole form. The plan you pick fixes two things for this event: how many photos it can hold, and how long you'll have to download them afterwards. You get a photo link and a QR code immediately.
2. You put photo spots where people gather
A photo spot is a place you want photos from, and it has its own QR code. One is enough for a small gathering; a wedding usually wants one per table plus the entrance. Because each spot is separate, you can see afterwards how many photos came from where. You print them from your dashboard.
3. Your guests add photos
They point a camera at the code, which opens a page in their browser. There's no app to install and no account to create. They take a photo or pick one, add a caption if they want, confirm they're happy to share it, and it's sent. They can see their own photos afterwards and remove any of them.
4. You decide what appears
By default photos appear as they arrive and you remove anything you'd rather not show. Switch to review-before-showing and nothing appears until you approve it. On a paid plan you can also turn on automatic screening, which holds anything explicit back for you to look at first. You can invite helpers to review alongside you.
5. The gallery goes live, if you want it to
Photos are private until you publish the gallery. Once you do, anyone with the link sees the approved photos as they arrive, and there's a full-screen slideshow for a projector or a TV at the venue. Guests can download individual photos from the gallery.
6. Uploads close, and your download window starts
This is the part worth reading twice. When uploads close, guests can no longer add photos, and a clock starts: your download window. It's fixed by your plan — 14 days on the free plan, 90 on Plus, 365 on Pro. During it, you download everything as one zip of full-quality originals with a spreadsheet of the captions. We email you a reminder before it ends.
7. Everything is deleted
When the download window ends, the photos and every copy made from them are permanently removed from our storage. This isn't a soft delete or an archive — it's why we ask you to download in time, and it's the same promise that keeps your guests' photos from living on our servers indefinitely.
