Privacy Policy
Last updated: 20 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how SleepSort BV (“we”), operator of Snappio, handles personal data when organizers and their guests use the service.
Who we are
Snappio is operated by SleepSort BV, Frederic van der Nootstraat 19, 9300 Aalst, Belgium, company number BE1009140983. For any privacy question, reach us through our contact form.
What we collect
Organizer account data from your sign-in provider (name, email) needed to run your events.
Guest uploads: the photos guests submit, an optional caption and name, and technical metadata (a functional session identifier and a hashed IP used only for abuse-prevention). We do not ask guests to create accounts.
How we use it
To provide the service: store and display event photos, run moderation, and let organizers download their collection.
We process organizer account data to perform our agreement with you, guest uploads on the basis of the consent a guest gives at upload and on the organizer’s instructions for their event, and rate-limiting and abuse-prevention data on our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure.
Retention
Event photos are kept for the event’s download window, fixed by its plan when the event is created: 30 days on the free plan, 90 days on Plus and 365 days on Pro, counted from the moment uploads close. We email organizers before the deadline so they can download the collection, and the photos and every copy we derived from them are permanently deleted from our storage within a few days of it.
Guests can delete their own photos while an event is open, and organizers can remove any photo at any time. Organizer account data is kept for as long as the account exists; deleting your account permanently deletes your events and their photos. Routine backups may hold deleted records briefly before they are overwritten.
Your rights
Depending on your location you may have rights to access, correct, or erase your personal data, and to object to or restrict processing. To exercise them, reach us through our contact form. We reply within one month and will tell you if a request needs longer. You can also complain to your local data protection authority — in Belgium, the Data Protection Authority.
For the photos at a specific event, the organizer decides what is collected and shown, so contacting them is usually fastest. Tell us either way and we will help.
