The birthday photos you would otherwise lose
You spend your own party holding a phone, taking photos of everyone else, and end up in none of them. Put a code by the cake instead and let everyone else do the work.

Why it works for a party
You are in the photos for once. When everyone contributes, the birthday person stops being the photographer. You will see yourself in shots you had no idea were taken.
It survives the night. Photos are safe the moment they are added, not stuck on phones that get wiped, dropped, or never checked. The group chat forgets by Tuesday; this does not.
It costs nothing to try. A small gathering fits the free plan comfortably. If it turns into a bigger night than planned, you can move up before the photos start arriving.
A setup that works for a party
- 1
One photo spot by the food or the cake, where everyone passes at least once. That is genuinely enough for most parties.
- 2
Add a second by the dance floor or the photo wall if you have one - 2 spots is the difference between posed photos and the ones people actually keep.
- 3
Stick the code somewhere it cannot get moved, spilled on, or used as a coaster. Tape beats a stand after midnight.
A welcome message that works
It is my birthday and I am going to be terrible at taking photos. Please take them for me.
How the night actually goes
Nothing for the first hour, then the first person tries it and shows someone else, and it goes from there. The late photos are the good ones. Everything is waiting for you the next morning, and you have 90 days to pull the full-quality album down - which is rather longer than a group chat keeps anything usable.
Party questions
What if people forget it exists?
Put the code where people already stop - by the food, by the drinks. One person using it is usually enough; the rest follow when they see it happen.
Can I stop people adding photos after the night?
Yes. You set when uploads close when you create the event, so the album is fixed at whatever you decide - the end of the night, or the following afternoon for the stragglers.
Someone added something embarrassing. Can I remove it?
Any photo comes out with one tap, and it disappears from the gallery straight away. You can also review everything before it appears if you would rather not leave that to chance.
